It’s no surprise that a city who’s the economy is based solely on hand-spun yarn, weed, and peace has provided safe harbor for some VW vans. This particular hippie hotel was spotted in New Paltz, NY. Enjoy this wonderful example of obsolete technology:
What we have here are two of Volkswagen’s more modern (yet just as unreliable) Vanagon vans. Both spotted in the eastern end of Long Island, they are just as boring as their surroundings, therefore I have included a great example of a Karmann Ghia cabriolet spotted at Captree State Park. Happy Thanksgiving!
This fine example of a T3 was found in the college town of Providence, RI. Parked close by to Brown University, this was most likely some kind of ‘off-campus housing’ arranged by some clever (read: broke) students trying to get by. That being said, the roomy interior of the T3 probably offers more livable space than most dorms, and also has bench seats! It’s a win-win.
