This spectacularly brown van was found at Robert Moses beach, just like it’s cousin from the first post! It is a well known fact that beaches attract these vans – it is also a well known fact that beaches attract drunks. Just sayin’. This was a great find, good looking out Jenn!
What we have here is a rather nice looking Wolfsburg Edition Vanagon – a nice relic from the 80’s, when music was good and cars were square. This van was especially nice, with an interior that was actually clean! No one is running their patchouli oil business out of this van – and they shouldn’t be – as this is a venerable Wolfsburg Edition! The Wolfsburg was upgraded with larger, more square (like this van needs that!) bumpers, alloy wheels and extra body trim (more stuff that will fall off!). An interesting note: Only Volkswagens that have the special Wolfsburg Edition circular badge are true Wolfsburgs, some North American cars have a square “castle” or “wolf” badge that is there only to cover the hole where the euro-spec side marker lights would go!
